Forestry in the Parish

Many years have passed since forestry came on a large scale to Carsphairn parish and as the first crop of trees are being harvested memories grow dim as to when farms were bought by the Forestry Commission and private forestry companies. This, hopefully, is a complete list of the farms which are now afforested but if any have been left out please let us know.

1936 DUNDEUGH

1937 MUIRDROCHWOOD

1945 WOODHEAD (KELLS PARISH)

1947 MARSCALLOCH
